AGR announced a new Training Seminar for Fall of 2016, “Fractography of Container Glass” which will enable participants to become an AGR certified Fracture Diagnostician. The seminar will consist of advanced topics that will provide an in-depth look into the mechanics of glass fracture, fracture analysis techniques and the evaluation of container glass. AGR’s Bill Slusser and Doug Holscher conducted the four day “Advanced Testing and Fracture Diagnosis of Glass Bottles” seminar in Munich, Germany the first week in March. They will conduct a second three day seminar “Testing and Fracture Diagnosis of Glass Bottles” the week of March 7.  Dr.

AGR Senior Scientist Peter de Haan will be conducting both a private and open enrollment training seminar while enjoying some of his favorite cuisines as he travels through Vietnam and Thailand.  Peter initiates the 2016 Open Enrollment Training Schedule in Bangkok, Thailand on February 3 with “Testing and Fracture Diagnosis of Glass Bottles”. Did you know that radioactive glass was once popular? This yellow-green, florescent and slightly radioactive, Vaseline glass enjoyed popularity in the latter part of the 19th century.
