First New Certification Seminar begins in Munich Feb 28, 2017

The first "Fracture Diagnostician Certification" Seminar gets underway in Munich, Germany Feb. 28. The critical focus of this seminar is on workshops using advanced fracture analysis techniques. Successful completion will earn AGR Certification. This Open Enrollment Seminar will be offered on our Butler, PA, USA campus March 28-32 and in Krakow, Poland September 19-22. Bill Slusser promoted to Director at AGR

Agr International is proud to announce the promotion of William Slusser to the position of “Director of Research” at American Glass Research.  Bill’s career and reputation with American Glass Research (AGR) are now 17 years in the making.  Most recently, he lead the strong growth of the company through the expansion of portfolio services, the targeting of geographic development, and the introduction of new and improved educational seminars, now offered more often, and in more places around the world than ever before.

New AGR White Paper Published

AGR has just published the third and final White Paper entitled “FEA performance comparisons of NNPB and BB refillable bottles” which summarizes our research findings regarding the use of NNPB technology for returnable containers and whether or not it is a viable option.  The paper written by Dr. Wenke Hu, William Slusser and Gary Smay, was just published in November/December issue of Glass Worldwide Magazine. AGR publishes Color Atlas of Stones In Glass

American Glass Research has just published a book entitled Color Atlas of Stones In Glass. This hardbound book describes 39 stones, accompanied by more than 300 original color photographs, images and spectra. The Color Atlas is printed on high quality photo paper and is over 120 pages.

Detailed identification tips, compositions, causes and sources are given for each stone, as well as its physical and crystalline characteristics.

2017 Training Seminar Schedule Announced

The 2017 Training Seminar Schedule has been released and is available for registrations. New in 2017 will be the "F3: Fracture Diagnostician Certification" Seminar held in Butler, Munich and Krakow; Back-to-back scheduling (same week) of our "Advanced Batch and Furnace" May 1-3 with our "Stones in Glass: Analysis and Identification" May 4-5 enabling participants to attend both in the same week while on our Butler campus saving travel time and money; And for the first time in Italy, two of our most popular seminars "Evaluation and Lightweighting of Glass Container Designs" and "Fracture 1: Testing and Breakage Diagnosis" will be offered as Open Enrollment in Montecchio, Italy on May 8-9 and May 10-11 respectively.

In the Fall our "Stone Analysis" and "Cord and Annealing" will be held back-to-back in Butler the week of September 16.
